Data Submission & Verification Policy

To keep our CGPA simulations accurate and the Confidence Indicator trustworthy, every user-submitted grading scale goes through strict verification before integration. We only accept public, institutional data—no self-reported information without proof.

1. The "Official Source" Requirement

Submissions must include verifiable evidence (at least one):

  • Preferred:

Direct link to the institution's published grading policy, student handbook, or academic catalog.

  • Secondary Option:

High-resolution image/scan of the "Grading Key" from an institutional transcript.

  • Verification:

Confirmation of accreditation via UNESCO's World Higher Education Database (WHED).

We reject anything without a public/official source—no hearsay or private docs.

2. Verification Workflow

On submission, we run these checks:

Institution Validation

Confirm existence and status via WHED portal.

Educational Mapping

Align level of study with UNESCO ISCED framework (e.g., Bachelor's vs. Master's).

Logic & Math Testing

Apply standard credit-weighted formula to sample data—ensure it produces logical results without anomalies.

3. Confidence Indicator Assignment

High Confidence

Backed by government portal, live university handbook link, or direct official source.

Approximate

From transcript image only (no live secondary verification) or minor institutional variations.

4. Conflict Resolution

If a submitted scale contradicts an established national standard (e.g., from UK ENIC, Ministry of Education, or UNESCO Global Convention on Recognition), the official national/international standard prevails as default. We prioritize data from recognized public authorities and treaties for consistency.

Community-Powered Improvements

This process ensures our database stays reliable, up-to-date, and community-powered—thanks to students sharing official links.

All additions remain independent simulations; always verify finals with your institution.

How to Submit a Grading Scale

To submit a new or corrected grading scale, please contact us with:

  • Country and institution name
  • Standard grading mappings (e.g., A=4.0, B=3.0)
  • Credit system details (if applicable)
  • Link to official public source or transcript image

Review process: Public contributions with clear official source links are prioritized for review.

Note

Your input helps make this tool better for everyone—community-driven improvements strengthen accuracy for students worldwide.
